Last night, I met two friends in Atawater Village for dinner at Viet Noodle Bar. While the food itself was pretty bland, the place definitely had some character.
I had a bowl of brown rice with chicken, crispy fish, red onions, and cilantro, Annette had chicken phở, and Courtney had vegetarian phở.
Would I come here again? Probably not. We all grew up in the San Gabriel Valley, where a good bowl of phở is cheap and delicious. And they only serve their Bánh mì sandwiches during lunch, which is just ridic. And just so you don't think I went to this place alone and ordered three bowls of food..
